Amigurumi Free Patterns is a small, independent pattern library run by one crocheter who got tired of paywalled PDFs. Every pattern here is checked carefully before it’s published, and it stays free for as long as this site exists.
How this started
Like a lot of amigurumi makers, the patterns started as notes scrawled on the backs of receipts, shared with a handful of friends who kept losing them. Turning those notes into a proper site meant writing every round out in full — no shorthand you’d need a glossary to decode — so that someone picking up a hook for the first time could actually finish a toy.
What you’ll find here
Original amigurumi patterns for animals, keychains, and seasonal gifts, written in full sentences with clear round-by-round stitch counts. New patterns go up roughly every two weeks.
How patterns are written
Every pattern is checked carefully for accuracy before it’s published — stitch counts, round numbers, and materials are all cross-checked against the source. If you ever spot something that doesn’t add up, the Contact page is the fastest way to get it fixed for the next person.
Using the patterns
Every pattern is free to use for personal projects, gifts, and small-batch selling of the finished toy — the written pattern itself just isn’t for reposting or reselling. Full terms are on the Disclaimer page.
